1. GENERAL MANAGER – REGISTRATION, COMPLIANCE & TRAINING. REF: NCA/01/02/2013 (1 Position) The Position Reporting to the Executive Director, the job holder will be responsible for the Registration of contractors and ensuring Compliance with the Act and Regulations in addition to advising contractors and other stakeholders on the functions, policies and other services offered by the Authority. He/She will also be responsible for all matters related to Training and Capacity Building of contractors, skilled construction workers and construction site supervisors. Key Responsibilities; * Head of the Registration, Compliance & Training division of the Authority. * Responsible for all duties and matters in the division including advising contractors on the functions, policies and other services offered by National Construction Authority for their effective registration. * Coordination of the functions of registration of contractors. * Maintenance of the contractors register and publishing the contractor’s directory. * Coordination of all activities to promote and ensure quality assurance in the construction industry, development and enforcement of the code of conduct for the construction industry. * Responsible for all training activities of contractors, skilled construction workers and construction site supervisors. * Regular review of training courses and materials for training consistent with the changing dynamics in the construction industry technology. * Coordination of all activities for accreditation of skilled construction workers and construction site supervisors. * Monitor and review performance of accredited training institutions. * Liaison with statutory institutions in the construction industry. * Supervision of and liaison with the Authority county offices. * Ensure achievement of the performance targets of the division. * Any other duties assigned by the Executive Director.
