1.HIS Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, yesterday held several bilateral meetings with foreign ministers. The meetings took place in the Brunei Darussalam Room, International Convention Centre (ICC), Berakas. Following the bilateral meeting between Brunei Darussalam and Turkey, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Ahmet Davutoglu, in an interview announced that visas have been lifted between both Turkey and Brunei Darussalam, which will ease the entry of visitors from the two countries. He hoped that with the new agreement, both countries will experience enhanced economic relations. 2.HIS Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and Chairman of the 46th Asean Foreign Ministers’ Meeting and Related Meetings, and Her Royal Highness Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Zariah last night hosted a Gala Dinner for ministerial colleagues and their spouses, as well as delegates attending the 46th Asean Foreign Ministers’ Meeting / Post Ministerial Conference / 14th Asean Plus Three / 20th Asean Regional Forum / 3rd East Asia Summit Foreign Ministers’ Meeting. The Gala Dinner, which was held at the International Convention Centre in Berakas, was attended by representatives from 29 countries, including the 10 Asean member states, Australia, Bangladesh, Canada, the People’s Republic of China, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, the European Union, India, Japan, Mongolia, New Zealand, Norway, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, the Republic of Korea, Russia, Sri Lanka, Timor- Leste, Turkey and the United States of America. 3.THE United States of America is firmly committed to working together with Asean on rebalancing their interests and investments in Southeast Asia and Asia as a whole, and to continue building on their active and enduring presence as an Asia-Pacific nation. This was said yesterday by US Secretary of State John Kerry at a press conference as part of the ministerial meetings which took place at the International Convention Centre, Berakas.
