1) I always have been against the ban on target pistols 2) I dont approve of coup de gras pistols generally.for stalking (there are professional exceptions as noted). 3) I dont think sporting shooters should pretend to be soldiers or policemen. Meantime, anyone who thinks we are going to get the equivalent of the US 2nd Amendment rights here, now in Britain, at this moment in history, is barking up a gum tree. We as shooters must take into account prevailing public opinion - its called democracy. Regrettably, that opinion has moved against us in the last couple of generations (and particularly in recent years). When you campaign in the media therefore - and try it if you think it is easy - you must have a policy which is reasonable to the average person AND WHICH YOU CAN EFFECTIVELY DEFEND.
