1. I forgot how long this book is. 2. This feels like horror ala Steven Spielberg. 3. Privilege is real, but being a poor white person totally sucks. 4. I am REALLY happy I didnt grow up in the 50s. 5. I am beginning to understand why older white people dont remember how racist the times they grew up in actually were. I am not even that old but I often forget how homophobic the 80s and 90s were. Even Kings sympathetic attitudes toward gay people in the book are kind of dated. I guess as the times change people change with them and no one wants to be grouped in with the losers/bad guys of the past. Even though they werent bad guys/losers at the time. 6. I get it Mr. King, youre a master of suspense, but the plot of this story shouldnt require so many g**damned pages. Did I mention this book is long?
