1) Ibn ‘Abd al-Barr and others reported that Allah commanded one of the Angels to destroy a town. So, he asked: “My Lord, it has such and such a person who is a zahid who worships You constantly!” Allah Said: “Begin with him, and let me hear his voice. His face never once became red for My sake.” 2) The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said that Allah Taala commanded Jibreel to destroy a city because of the evildoers therein. Jibreel said, O Allah, there is a person in the city who has never disobeyed you. Allah said, Destroy him as well, because he was not offended by their evildoing. These Hadeeth are mentioned in Muslim, Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah and Bahaiqi (Tafsir Tibyan al-Quran, under surah Ali Imran, verse 104 by Allamah Saidi)
