1 Kings 5:1-4, 14: Making a Long Story Short. As we look at another leper in the Bible, we will notice that God is no respecter of person when it comes to His Word. In one chapter of Naamans life, God changed his life. God can do the same for you. When the Word of reaches you, listen and obey. it does not matter who its coming from or coming through. Naaman had many Godly traits about him and on top of him being godly, he was very rich and a commander of a Syrian army. But he had one problem, he was a leper. He didnt let his condition define him, he define his condition. To make this long story short, he gave his wife a gift of a maid. My wife has been wanting this gift for Christmas for years. (Lol) This was no ordinary maid. This maid had a word from The Lord. Here is the message she gave to Naaman and his wife. There is prophet in Samaria who can heal you of your one problem, leprosy. Now thats when a real gift means something to others. 3 points from the message. V1 1. Dont let the Negative Void out the Positives in your life. We know people like Naaman in our life. Some many good things they do but we alway dwell on one bad thing they do. We all have one thing or many things that others and God dont like nor love but if you keep dwelling on the bad you never appreciate the good in others. V2-4 2. Peach and work where you are planted. Naaman bought his wife a gift that blessed him, and his wife (happy wife/happy life, preaching to myself). Get the point? This slave girl came with a message from God. Naaman obeyed the words of his wife and maid and his life was changed in one chapter of his life. V3 3. When you are lead to the water, drink it (dip in it). Naaman tried the get around what God wanted him to do to be healed. He questioned God method, the people God used and try to buy Gods favor but he finally came to a point in his life and said, I will do what the man of God told me to do and dip myself in this Jordan seven times according to sayings of the man of God. Here is the results of his his obedient faith in Gods Word, he was healed of his one external problem, leprosy. Background scriptures, read 2 Kings 5 and Luke 4:27. Give a gift that keeps on giving.
