1 Kings 8-The dedication of the Temple-the Ark is brought back, there is a prayer from Solomon to God and for the people-May the Lord our God be with us, as He was with our fathers. May He not leave us nor forsake us, that He may incline our hearts to Himself, to walk in all His ways, and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgments, which He commanded our fathers. I especially like the statement that He may incline our hearts to Himself. God draws people to Himself. God knows the depths and secrets of each heart. Pray that God will give your heart a leaning to love, serve, trust, and obey Him. You can only act on behalf of yourself!
