1. Me visiting The Giant`s Causeway (also known as Cleopatras Needles). I had to put myself her by photo-shop. Tho i did visit it. 2. The Glens of Antrim. 3. The Irish landscape (The Emerald Ilse) Diary entry, Dec 23. 1954. I`m nearing the end of my raf 5 years service and will soon be demobbed back into civilian life! I find Ireland quite beautiful - and motorbiked to many places (see photos). It is known as The Emereld Isle because it is always sooo green (due to the fact it is always raining and misty!). I went out with Anna, an Irish girl, who told me off for swearing! (Irish girls are mostly catholics and often very modest and conservative). I also smuggled cigs for my raf buddies, in my motorbike pannier, across the Irish border as Ireland was still severely separated at the time. I had a spat with an arrogant RAF officer (I could afford to now I was nearing the end of my time). With Anna on the back, I fell off my motorbike while riding those wild Irish hills. I also bought my first (portable imperial typewriter) and started writing.
