1 Peter 1:11-12 King James Version (KJV) 11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. 12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into. These are my thoughts, please share yours. 11 Christ suffering were pretold and fulfilled. His sufferings showed His love to us. When He died he thought of us coming to Him and accepting Him as Lord and wanting to serve Him but, if He did not die for us this would be impossible. Christ suffered on earth to spare us from the sufferings from hell. The prophets also told about the life and resurrection of Christ and some even mention the blessing to come. 12 The prophets who were told did not see Christ come as we today they believed thru not seeing but by faith. The word of God is to minister to us guide us and encourage and sometimes convict us but always leads us to Jesus and His will. The gospel is what we preach today it is something the prophets dreamed about, it is what they were promised and it is fulfilled in Jesus our Savior. The Spirit was sent to help and lead us to spread the gospel and follow His will. Having the Spirit allows us to have a part of God leading us into God’s direction for us.
