1 Peter 3: 13-14 - Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good? But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. “Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened.” It is difficult to do what is right. Many times we are afraid and there is a cost to doing right. We may lose our friends, we may lose our jobs...in some cases we may risk much more by choosing to do what is right. God is sovereign, and His ways are not our ways. Yet, He is also faithful and a God who hears us. We are able to do what is right because of the power of God in us: because of our response to the grace of God. Receiving that grace teaches us courage. We come to know a God who will surely protect us, whether that means we live for Him, or suffer for Him.
