1 Peter 3:7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered. A husband and wife are “heirs together of the grace of life”. God’s word tells husbands to “love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word,” (Ephesians 5:25-26). God word tells wives “Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.” (Ephesians 5:24) Men, your relationship with God is connected to loving your wife. He has given you great responsibility in the leadership role in your marriage. Across the globe, we have seen the dismantling of the family, particularly in the area of men accepting the responsibility that God has given them in this area.
