1 Peter 5:7 AMP - ...Casting the [a]whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully. A major disappointment can make you feel overwhelmed and depressed. What to do with a DISAPPOINTMENT? The disappointment that happened to you is bad enough. But then the disappointment GETS INSIDE YOU! Now the disappointment is eating at you, gnawing away at every ounce of your energy, zapping you of excitement, joy and faith. What to do? There is only one cure: THE PRAYER OF COMMITTAL! No need to be burdened down! Cast it over on the Lord! Unload it! Throw it over! Roll it over! Release it to Him! ITS CALLED THE PRAYER OF COMMITTAL... committing your each and every frustration over onto Him. Perhaps the source of the disappointment will not disappear instantly but at least it will DISAPPEAR OUT OF YOU! Transfer it off your shoulders onto His!
