1 Peter Tidbits for Faith Chapter 4: 8-9 Above all, maintain an intense love for each other, since love covers a multitude of sins. Be hospitable to one another without complaining. --- The bible is filled with examples of love and we are told to love one another, but lets put verse nine before eight. Being kind and hospitable to one another is a prime example that we have Jesus in our heart. Before we can love our brothers and sisters I feel we have to practice being a friend to one another. The bible or the word of God instructs us to do good to one another, encouraging daily, forgiving, exhorting, praying for one another, and the list keeps going! Basically if Jesus is in you and you say you serve the Lord then there should be a wanting to do good to one another. There may be some that read this that may feel that they are spiritually mature and are on the meat of the word. If so I rejoice because what this is telling us is that your a doer of love and practice love! Your meat is to house the homeless and feed the poor and cloth the naked. Your spiritual meat is to be a doer of the word and practice kind acts with extended love! If we are to grow in Christ and gain maturity lets become intense in love and major in kindness, hospitality, patients, forgiveness, etc.
