1. Princess Park (PP ) at India Gate houses the Temp Accn for Defense Offrs in modified barracks. So are the barracks of Jodhpur Hostel. 2. The babus of FM seem to have put their finger in a hurry on Defense Land. Mentality - They want to have War Memorial ? OK . Let them have it onTHEIR land ? 3. It is an Archaeological and aesthetic challenge if the new structure has to come up near India Gate without affecting, compromising or spoiling the beauty and dignity of present memorial which is also sacred to Soldiers and Nation. 4. My OUT OF THE BOX idea is to involve French / British architectural talent in combination with Indian Building Expertise ( Not DLF !) and make present monument a FOUR DIMENSIONAL QUADRANGULAR fort like building by adding three additional similar gates to the existing one. 5. Replication of existing structure by adding new structures as East , North & South wings will give a huge monument with adequate space left in between to house an open assembly ground and barrack like corridors along with side walls to house Museum. 6. Any takers ?
