1 RSS Kathmandu, June 14: President Dr Ram Baran Yadav has said that education system making people efficient and independent was need of the hour. Inaugurating the Golden Jubilee Celebration of the Kirtipur-based Mangal Higher Secondary School on Friday, the President said education of the 21st century should be timely relevant and competitive both nationally and internationally. President Dr Yadav also lauded the roles of Mangal Higher Secondary School for its contribution to educational development of Kirtipur region. Likewise, Vice Chancellor of the Tribhuvan University Prof Dr Hira Bahadur Maharjan said the state should encourage the government education institutions for quality growth of education in Nepal. The state should pay special attention for management of appropriate infrastructures, Maharjan said. Chairman of Mangal Higher Secondary Management Committee Prof Dr Shiva Sharan Maharjan and Principal of the school Pradip Maharjan highlighted the ups and downs of the school. On the occasion, President Dr Yadav inaugurated the newly constructed school building and released the special souvenir published by the school on its golden jubilee celebration. Similarly, different persons were felicitated for their contribution to the school. Meanwhile, President Dr Yadav today offered Pooja at local Baghbhairaj Temple.
