1 Samuel 17:37 Moreover David said, “The Lord, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” David remembered and recollected what the Lord has done in his past life before he went onto face Goliath. He remembered wonderful acts of the Lord as he said, The Lord who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of bear, will also deliver me from Goliath. It was Davids testimony about how the Lord has rescued him in his past life. Here is a testimony of a Widow about Prophet Elijah (Read 1 Kings 17:24): Then the woman said to Elijah, “Now I know that you are a man of God and that the word of the Lord from your mouth is the truth.” God created a great testimony in Prophet Elijahs life and people witnessed it (Testimony of a Window about Prophet Elijah 1 Kings 17:24). Elijah was a man just like you and me, yet he was in the hands of mighty GOD and prayed earnestly that it would not rain and it did not rain on that land for three and a half years. (James 5:17) It was the Lord who created a great testimony in the life of Elijah. Elijah lived for the LORD, Elijah obeyed Gods word (1 Kings 17:5). Elijah showed courage and boldness in defending the word of God (1 Kings 18:15). Elijahs prayer was fervent prayer that he prayed and God sent fire from heaven (1 Kings 18:38). When you stand for the Lord and when you show courage and boldness to defend the word of God, God use you mightily and you will be a great man of God. Beloved, have the mind of David by sharing your testimony amidst of difficult situations. David remembered his testimony before he faced giant Goliath as he did wonderfully by saying, The Lord who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of bear, will also deliver me from Goliath. Psalm 19:7 says like this, ..the testimony of the LORD is sure.. Our LORD will not only give us strength to face giants in our life but also creates great testimonies in our life, all you have to do is to, share it amidst of your difficult situation. So beloved, whoever the giant you are facing today and whatever the size of your giant in your life, know that the Lord who created that giant is in control of everything. When the Lord is on our side who can be against us!
