Employability & Entrepreneurship Specialist 4.Finance Manager 5.Knowledge Management and Administrative Assistant Senior Specialist: Monitoring and Evaluation Location: Hatfield Pretoria Type of Contract: Fixed Term Contract Key Areas of Accountability: • Design and implement a consistent and rigorous system of data collection on project outputs and outcomes and impact • Translate monitoring and outcomes data into reports in required forms • Build the capacity of TA recipient organizations to measure and document the results of their work, including by developing a detailed M&E manual • Ensure that the research program developed by external researchers responds to the capacities and constraints of TA recipient organizations, program realities, and SC learning interests • Oversee the documentation and dissemination of project lessons in practitioner-friendly formats • Oversee Knowledge Management & Administrative Assistant. Qualification: • Requires a Master’s degree in economics, international development, international education, or a related field. Ph.D. or ABD in a related subject advantageous. Experience and Skills: • Direct practical experience in conducting monitoring and evaluation for OVC/youth • Excellent knowledge of quantitative and qualitative impact evaluation and field research methods and data analysis, including evaluation design, questionnaire development, survey management, and statistical analysis using STATA or • Experience in teaching, training or providing capacity building services • Strong written and oral communication skills in English • Experience in report writing. Qualification: • Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Education, Business or related field, or Bachelor’s degree plus equivalent work experience. Experience and Skills: • At least 5 years’ experience with program development. Curriculum development will be an added advantage • At least 5 years of experience in capacity building and training, including conducting Trainings of Trainers (ToTs) • An affinity for working with community-based organizations in the field • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication and analytical skills • Candidates with permission to work in South Africa preferred. Employability & Entrepreneurship Specialist Key Areas of Accountability: • Program Design / Development • Monitoring & Evaluation • Reporting • Coordination and Partnerships • Communications and Outreach. Qualification: • Master’s degree in Entrepreneurship, Social Sciences, Education, Business or related field, or Bachelor’s degree plus equivalent work experience. Experience and Skills: • At least 5 years’ experience with entrepreneurship and employment program development and implementation. Curriculum development in this field is a strong preference • Experience in working with youth and/or youth development programming • A proven background and handson professional experience of market analysis, practical knowledge of private sector development,youth entrepreneurship and employment development in South Africa • At least 5 years of experience in capacity building and training, including experience conducting Trainings of Trainers (ToTs), planning and organizing EE focused training. • Very strong partnership building, communications and management skills to work with multiple stakeholders including government, donors, researchers /academia, youth, partner staff and care givers. • An affinity for working with community-based organizations in the field • Strong organizational and problem solving skills particularly in complex situations in a flexible, time sensitive and innovative manner • Demonstrated experience in providing TA on EE • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication and analytical skills. Finance Manager Key Areas of Accountability: • Processes project related payments in accordance with established procedures and tracks expenses via developed tracking system; • Prepares clear budget vs actuals variance analysis and makes it available per Project Director request and/or agreed timeline; • Ensures asset management and disposition are conducted as per donor and SCI requirements; • Provides the necessary support and guidance to ensure that ASPIRES staff have a clear understanding of donor requirements and expectations throughout implementation, budget realignment processes, reporting, closeout and audit stages • Coordinates with SCUS HQ on all financial management processes and donor requests as necessary. • Leads the preparation of the donor-required financial reports and budgets, as per donor templates and timelines, ensuring compliance with all donor and SCI requirements. • Provides quality financial management support to ASPIRES program implementation to result in timely and effective execution of activities per workplan. Qualification: • Post-Secondary degree in Finance, International Development or related field Experience in program management, contract/grant management, and / or finance systems are essential. Experience and Skills: • At least five years of experience providing high-level contractual, financial reporting, and compliance support to international development projects • Excellent knowledge of USAID rules and regulations and, preferably, knowledge of SCI compliance and systems • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication and analytical skills • Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) especially Excel. Knowledge Management and Administrative Assistant Key Areas of Accountability: • Manage payments, track project expenses • Schedule and organize phone calls, meetings, and workshops; take meeting notes; disseminate follow-ups • Support staff in booking and arranging travel • Assist in reporting, budget • Photocopying, faxing, filing and other admin tasks as required by the project. Qualification: • BA or equivalent required. Experience and Skills: • 1-2 years of administrative/project management support experience, preferably in international agencies • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite - including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint • Experience in publication editing and production • Proficiency in second core language of Save the Children (Arabic, French, Portuguese or Spanish) • Have INGO experience or have worked in a public sector organization. mg_00280 Job Advertisements NB!
