1) The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Coast Guard in collaboration with the National Commercial Bank and Sagicor Life Inc. Will begin its Annual Youth Development Summer Program on Monday 15th July 2013. The programme will cater for participants ages 14-18, and will cover subjects such as: Safety at Sea, Seamanship, Navigation, Conflict Resolution, Substance Abuse and Prevention, Personal Development, Solid Waste Management and Fisheries Conservation. The programme, which is in its twentieth year, will be conducted in three phases: Phase One 15th- 20th July, Phase Two 29th -03rd August and Phase three 12-17th August 2013. Since the inception of the Program, 1,856 participants have attended the program.
