1 Thessalonians 1:4-6 For we know, brothers loved by God, that He has chosen you, because our gospel came to you not simply with words, but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and with deep conviction. The Lord our God is reminding us He wants to reshape this world through His children who are willing to set a standard and establish strong convictions for the world to follow. These sons and daughters are able to set these standards not because they are perfect, but because the Lord Jesus Christ guides and leads them all the way. I pray we would never lower our standards and convictions. While the world may fall prey to the traps of the enemy, while the world may say it is ok, THE CHILDREN OF GOD DO NOT MOVE TO THE PATTERNS OF THIS WORLD. WE MOVE TO THE RHYTHYM OF OUR LORD. Our Father is reminding us, when the going gets tough or when it is hard to stand firm on our convictions, to turn to Him for strength, guidance, and direction. We are never alone. The enemy wants us to think we are alone. If our relationship with God is wishy-washy, then we are prone to falling prey to the enemy. But if our foundations are firm and solid we will not be blown away easily by the enemy’s tricks when the storms come. I pray we would never fall short! It is so easy to fall short of our destiny and purpose in life because we could not stand committed to our convictions and standards. 1 Thessalonians 1:4-6 For we know, brothers loved by God, that He has chosen you, because our gospel came to you not simply with words, but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and with deep conviction.
