1. Three distinct persons, with the same essence of deity, make up the Godhead. 2. The three distinct persons that make up the Godhead are as follows: The father, Jesus, and the holy spirit. 3.. Hence, the father, Jesus, and the holy spirit share the same essence of deity. 4. Any being that has the essence of deity is a God. 5. Hence, the father is God, Jesus is God, and the holy spirit is God. 6. Therefore, three Gods make up the Godhead. 7. If so, then the doctrine of trinity is a polytheistic doctrine. 8. Therefore, the doctrine of trinity is a polytheistic doctrine. I got removed from an apologetics group, because i presented that argument. The fact is, they cannot defend the doctrine of trinity. And, i probably got removed for this one as well. 1. Conceptually, (that is by definition) God is omniscient. 2. Thus, if Jesus was God, then he was omniscient. 3. If Jesus was omniscient, then he knew everything. 4. But, jesus did not know when his second coming was. 5. Hence, Jesus did not know everything. 6. Hence, Jesus was not omniscient. 7. Therefore, Jesus was not God. That is a modification of the argument i actually presented. Now, i believe that Jesus is God. So i am not arguing for Atheism. The fact is it is arguments like that that Atheists use against bad biblical hermeneutics and exegises. So, they must re-evaluate such doctrines. So i was doing them a favour. Sadly, it was not received well. Moreover, Sadly, Apologetics is not only for Atheists. For, we must also resist false Christian doctrine as well.
