Duties and Responsibilities a) Inspects all Dining Hall areas so as to ensure that the appearances are clean and that all tables are prepared for service. b) Should consult the cateress on duty, prior to each meal, as to the menu and determine from time to time during the service any items which have to be curtailed in the Dining Hall/or kitchen. c) Responsible for obtaining menu cards and placing on staff notice boards. d) He/she will direct the overall service operations and will detail staff to help in overpressed areas as he/she thinks necessary. e) He/she will instruct daily the waiters to their stations and will read the menu explain to them the contents thereof. f) Checks on necessary repairs and maintenance of Dining Halls, furniture and equipment and report to Catering Officer for necessary action. g) Checks and maintains stock levels on cutlery, crockery and glassware, ensure that they are cleaned and ready at all times for students use. h) Responsible for performing any other duties as may be prescribed by the Catering Officer or any other officer of the University. ASSISTANT FARM MANAGER-GRADE E/F-(1 POSITION) UoK/ADM/32/13 Applicants must be holders of a B.Sc. degree in Agronomy or any related field from a recognized university. In addition applicants must have the following: - Crop husbandry skills and knowledge - Excellent livestock Management skills and knowledge - Minimum of 3 years experience working with at least 2 years as Supervisor in Crop and Animal production. - Dynamic, self-driven, focused, disciplined and a team player Very conversant with the current agricultural business market trends - Must be Computer literate. ASSISTANT TRANSPORT OFFICER-GRADE E/F-(1 POSITION) UoK/ADM/33/13 Qualifications Applicants must be holders of a Bachelors Degree /Higher National Diploma in fleet management or its equivalent from a recognised institution and a minimum of three (3) years relevant working experience preferably in an institution of higher learning. Proven Computer literacy is a must. Duties and Responsibilities - Receive and compile motor vehicle statistics for management use. - Assist in the management of motor vehicle files registry and maintenance of motor vehicle fleet register. - Develop and implement Transport Vehicle maintenance schedule - Assist in the implementation of policy guidelines and regulation on use and management of the vehicle fleet. - Coordinate the ordering of new vehicles, vehicles insurance and licensing, keeping logbooks and recording of written off vehicles. - Coordinate the usage and servicing vehicles with a view to ensuring efficient and economic utilization.
