1. Ulquiorra: A giant statue of Orihime She rises up from the sand like Aphrodite from the ocean, wearing her espada uniform and cupping a heart in both hands. Gin: Well. So Ulquiorra is secretly an artist in addition to his other secrets, huh? Tosen: This sculpture was crafted out of intense, intense feelings of…confusion. Aizen: … Aizen: Platonic confusion, right? 2. Yammy: A giant sculpture of Ulquiorra It doesn’t exactly rise majestically from the sand…it’s a bit more on the lumpy side. And Ulquiorra appears to be missing a couple of limbs. Tosen: No, I don’t think he is ‘missing’ limbs. This is clearly late stage dismembered Ulquiorra. Aizen: Poignant. Gin: How on earth is that sculpture remaining standing? 3. Grimmjow: A mound of sand It rises up from the sand like a, um, sand mound. There does appear to be a light indentation on the top. Gin: ….did Grimmjow understand this was a contest? Tosen: He had two arms and no excuses. Aizen: Did he make a…hill? Grimmjow: IT’S A VOLCANO! 4. Zommari: A sea urchin He made the main body out of sand, and made the spines out of pieces of rock tree the he painstakingly collected. It’s fairly well-crafted, actually. Gin: Why would anyone stab a pumpkin so many times? Tosen: It is clearly a sea urchin, Ichimaru. Just like Zommari is. On the inside. Aizen: So he made a sculpture of himself? Aizen: How arrogant of him. 5. Luppi: Aizen on his throne …It is possible that Luppi wants his old job back. Tosen: Suck up. Gin: Luppi…I thought we planned for you to make an adorable octopus! What about our drawings? Aizen: … Aizen: I rather like this one. 6. Aaoniero: An adorable octopus Well, as adorable as Aaroniero can make it. It’s true that there seems to be too many tentacles. Way, way too many tentacles. Gin: [gasp] Luppi’s sculpture! Tosen: This would be better if many of those arms were cut off. Aizen: Is the octopus eating pie? 7. Halibel: An animal group There’s a shark, of course, and surrounding her on three sides a deer, a lion, and a snake. …Her fracciones may have helped. Tosen: Do we disqualify her entry because she cheated? Her fracciones obviously helped. Gin: Cheated? How? Captain Aizen just said ‘Go outside make sculptures. I’m bored.’ I don’t think there any actual rules. Aizen: This sculpture is so predictable. 8. Starrk: A bed He is asleep on it. For, um, added realism. Tosen: Wasn’t this joke done in the actual beach episode? Gin: Yes. But in a much funnier way. Aizen: …Starrk is totally going to get sun-burned. 9. Nnoitra: Tesla’s head No, I mean his actual head. The rest of Tesla’s body is buried under the sand. Gin: …looks like Tesla tried to give one too many suggestions to ol’ Nnoitra. Tosen: It is creative to incorporate living things into your sculpture. Aizen: I’m not sure this is actually a sculpture, Kaname. 10. Nel: Bawabawa…being ridden by Ichigo Nel was going to add herself and her other fracciones as riders, but she ran out of time. Mainly because Pesche and Dondochakka kept “helping.” Aizen: [twitches] Gin: Aw, doesn’t the creepy kid look majestic in this sculpture? Tosen: Has Nelliel always been a child? 11. Szayel: Feet He was doing a sculpture. Of somebody. But Szayel wouldn’t move on until the feet were perfect. So now it’s a sculpture of feet. Really good feet, though! Aizen: This is why you should never aim for perfection unless it is in your nature. Tosen: Indeed. Gin: Guys…don’t derive life lessons from sand sculptures. 12. Barragan: A shinigami getting eaten by a bear The shinigami appears to have a rather prominent hair lock. Aizen: … Tosen: … Gin: It’s so good! Aizen: Shut up, Gin.
