1. What is wrong with the system of a waiting list. If you sign up with 3 people and only a two bedroom house is available, the next people who have signed for a two bedroom will get the house. 2. Why move out of the dorms and into a house or an apartment if you have to share your private bedroom with another person? 3. Several houses only have one bathroom and three people using one bathroom can cause for crazy mornings and nights. 4. Do you even know who you will be in a house or sharing your room with? 5. If you sign up for the lottery and dont get what you want are you stuck with what they give you? 6. How is it fair that student leadership get the first pick? I am a student athlete and living near campus is essential. 7. How are we supposed to be focused on class if we are stressing and worrying about where we are going to live. 8. This is a very short notice, especially for students who have planned to do an internship or take summer courses now have to worry about where we will live in order to take the classes and work the internships we already have planned. 9. If your solution is to move into the apartments for the summer, I have a chocolate lab who enjoys being outside so that would not be an option. Also I would not be able to move my bed, washer, dryer, etc. by myself to the 2nd or 3rd floor of hunter hall. 10. If Dean Dawson is trying to turn Hardin-Simmons into the schools he has worked at previously, he should have stayed there. HSU is not like other universities and that is the main reason I came to this university.
