1 doctor is dead and 2 more doctors have been confirmed wit d virus in lagos.Did u see wat US president did for d US doctor who was confirmed to have Ebola? Can our President do dat? Does he even care abt our lives .5k hazard allowance wit no protective measures in place.We no even get quarantine measures for my center.we cannot even be given free Hepatitis B vaccination as health care workers,u have to pay for it if u want it.Even secluded rooms for Tb patients aint even available in my center n pxs wit Open Tb r nursed same place as other sick pxs. If u get needle stick injury from pxs wit full blown AIDS or HIV n have to commence PEP for one month, no one even gives a damn about u( u have to take the one month ARV n still be expected to be at work daily). Even running tap water aint even available to wash ur hands 5000naira for hazard allowance.Is dat how much a live is worth? Wud dat take care of the family of d late doctor? Wud dat wipe away d tears of d family or be enough to pay for d funeral rites of this doctor? I really hope dis virus is contained cos we r in big soup if it becomes an epidermic. I weep for my country and most of all I weep for my profession.
