Is the Tiger supposed to provide a peaceful sighting to those who venture out on foot, deep into the forests ??? Quote : “Surprisingly, the forest officials are themselves not sure whether the shot tiger had killed all the seven villagers. This is against the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) protocol which directs to first identify the problem animal”. Earlier, in the morning, BJP MLA from Ballarshah, Sudhir Mungantiwar marched to the CCFs office with his supporters, demanding that the tiger be shot”. Unquote. Does the fact that the local Maharashtra Assembly Elections are around the corner, ring any bells? Looks like anything goes for retaining vote banks here in India, where Tigers are doomed already.
