1 more day til 4 of my birds return to nest. Our 1st Christmas in new house. Ive tried to think of every detail to anticipate them--favorite foods at the ready, house clean as pin, extraordinarily stuff-free since purge of last 6 months. My presents for them are simple, cozy, nothing to gasp w/ surprise. Their gifts to me are coming home, laughing night away, showing thoughtful respect to each other, keeping family together w/ties that bind. And since I still have today, Brainy Boy & I are hitting the thrift :) Grateful, thankful, happy in my heart...
