1 year ago, when Berinda and I went to Switzerland, I asked God if He could show me a meditating cow. One who chews the cud. So I came across grazing cows first, then a ruminating cow! The picture is so accurate to our Christian walk. The cow ruminates (meditates) on and on, and the flies are representative of the enemys distractions to us, taking us away from the Word. (Beelzebub - Lord of the Flies). Interestingly when I was thinking of posting this video, Pastor Prince also mentioned about flapping the flies off our faces. (Even his rabbit trails are prophetic). We are called to meditate on Gods Word to have good success. And everyday, there are worries and cares, anxieties, attacks, temptations, Facebook, Pinterest, Whatsapp screaming for our attention. There are just many things that magnify themselves toward us, and making God so small in our lives. But the ruminating cow is determined to chew. Because it knows that the more it chews and ruminates, there will be milk to be expressed for the young cows. I was so inspired by the ruminating cow! After coming back from Switzerland, I wanted to make sure I hold fast to the Word in spite of all the distractions of life. This year in May, Berinda and I visited New Zealand. And God shows me a higher way. The ruminating/ meditating sheep. This sheep is cared for by the Shepherd. This sheep is led by the Shepherd. This sheep is protected by the Shepherd. We are called to be His sheep. And we are called to ruminate. And Psalm 23 came alive to me. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul When the Lord is our Shepherd, He makes me to lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul. No flies to distract me. Just the green pastures and still waters to rest and refresh me. Just the Lord and me. This is our Secret Place with Him. This is our Portion. This can be our state of being 24/7...as long as we are willing to let the Lord lead us in every step of the way. :)
