1 yr ago about this time, my life changed. I had a stroke. Although minor, it changed my life. As a result of a rare side effect of an antibiotic with my genetic condition not being listed because .01% of people have the reaction, I now have permanent nerve damage, vision loss, and memory problems. And I had to give up my career as a tattoo artist, by far the hardest thing Ive ever had to do. But Im alive. My husband saved my life that night and stood by my side all year while I struggled with seizures and tremors and losing my license for 3 months. Countless des appts later many trial and error combos of meds, I finally feel human again. The gratitude I feel for my husband family and friends for taking care of me physically, and emotionally the last year is beyond measure. A year ago I said my goodbyes as they put me on a stretcher and today Im still here kissing my family goodnight, I am so thankful for that
