10/10/14 MS/HS ANNOUNCEMENTS: Thanks to everyone who participated in the blood drive yesterday. We collected 42 units. That is 126 lives we helped to save! Fall picture retakes for grades 6-12 are scheduled for Tuesday, October 28. Order forms are available in the main office. Fans are encouraged to wear pink to tonight’s football game at Huron in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. Stein Hospice is sponsoring a Pizza and Jewelry making evening for any girl who has lost her mother on Monday Oct. 13 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Chet and Matt’s Pizza. Please call Christa Bronner at 419-202-1597 to RSVP and bring a small trinket that reminds you of your mother to put in the jewelry that you make. All vehicles parked in student parking lot must back in to space. Seneca East is hosting its third annual So You Think You Can Sing Vocal Talent Competition on November 8th in Tiger Auditoria at Seneca East High School. If you love to be on stage to share your vocal talent, this is the competition for you. There is a middle school (grades 6-8) and high school (grades 9-12) division with prize money and trophies being awarded in both divisions. This year our competition features touring a cappella groups from Tiffin University, so if you love to sing and be on stage, then come join us for a night of great music. Guidelines and entry forms are on Seneca East’s website at seneca-east.k12.oh.us under the “community” heading. Any Sophomore or Junior student that is interested in taking the PSAT (Preliminary SAT) / National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test can sign up to do so in the guidance office. The test will be given on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 starting at 8:00 a.m. in the computer lab. There is a $14 fee for student’s to take this test. The fee must be paid prior to the day of testing and is non refundable. Sept. 26 thru Nov. 1 - Everyone who comes to Lake Eerie Fear Fest at Ghostly Manor in Sandusky with a coupon, gets $5.00 OFF admission and $5 towards their school/school organization. SENIORS: The following scholarships are available in the Guidance Office: Elks Most Valuable Student. Cleveland Cavaliers First Merit Bank The Elks Emergency Educational Grant, Elks Legacy Awards and Elks National Foundation Scholarships are available by applying at elks.org/enf/scholars. The following college representatives will be visiting here on the dates listed. Seniors can stop by the Guidance Office to sign up to attend.
