10/13/14-Thought for the day... It was really nice spending time with my family for Thanksgiving. I wish I could have spent time with my family from the states too, but they understand and that is a blessing. Today, was particularly hard for me, as this was the first major holiday that I spent here without mother in law. We have always had a big feast with her and continued the tradition today at their house. I remember 3 years ago today, as we sat eating our thanksgiving dinner that I suprised everyone, except Joyces dad, when I got on one knee and proposed to the love of my life. I had already gotten my father in laws blessing earlier that day. It was funny because when I asked him, he said, Yes..Yes.. go ahead.. its about time she has someone good.. I never thought Id give her away before I could even finish asking him. Lol..We just laughed. When I asked her, she was so embarrassed because I did it in front of her entire family and her family just screamed. She didnt answer me right away because she was so embarrassed and red and I started to get a little worried. Lol. But she was finally able to get the yes out. I will never forget that day and the big smile that mother in law had on her face, as she was straining to see around the corner. Today, I want to say thank you Jesus for a wonderful day. Thank you Jesus for everything you have given me and done for me. Thank you Jesus for my family. Thank you Jesus for the love of my life. Thank you Jesus for putting such love in my heart. Thank you Jesus for this group and the opportunity to help others through your Word. In all things, I give thanks, as it is written, 1 Thessalonians 5:18, ... give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. Psalm 107:1, O give thanks unto the LORD, for He is good: for His mercy endureth for ever. I am so thankful to our Lord for my life and everything He has given and supplied. Even if we are going through rough times, there is always something to be thankful for. I am also thankful I got to know my mother in law and thankful that God brought her home so that she would not suffer anymore. Yes, I miss her very much, but Im thankful she no longer suffers and will remember the values she taught me in the short time I knew her. After dinner, we went to visit her grave, my wifes uncles graves, our twins grave and our grandchilds grave. That is never easy, but helps me in the healing process. Thank you God! Thank you Jesus! God Bless you all~Bill
