10/2: Today was similar to yesterday. Brendan was alert most of the day, but did have several episodes of pain. At one point today, he seemed to pay attention to Sponge Bob for a short time. While he was up in his chair early this evening, I did his oral care & tried to get him to wash his face. He was not happy with me at all. I tried to tell him I was sorry, & he turned his head away from me, as if he were mad at me. Cindy came to visit this evening. Brendan was moving his head and arms around quite a bit. His pain eventually started to get to the point to where he was crying & moaning loudly, in his voice. I had the nurse give him medication. This continued for at least half an hour to 45 minutes. I think it eventually turned into an emotional reaction. He was crying very hard & trying to use his voice. He had a look of fear & sadness in his eyes. He finally settled down after he was put back to bed. I caressed his forehead & he fell asleep. Prayers continue for healing, strength, & peace. Thank you & God Bless! Missi
