10-20-13: I bet you have heard about the two convicted killers that were released from a Florida Correctional Facility. The media used the word “escape” implying that they had arranged their own release. Documents with a judge’s signature were sent to the facility ordering their release. How were two individuals without access to the correct documents supposed to create these papers? If they had planned their escape, one would suppose that they had entertained the possibility that the documents would be questioned as soon as the law enforcement community was informed and that they would take steps to disappear. They did just the opposite. “They went to an Orlando jail after their release and registered as felons” as is required by law; hardly hiding from the cops. They did everything two prisoners who were release by the State and not by their own efforts were supposed to do. I bet they were quite surprised when the correctional facility came to their jail cells and informed them that they were being let go.
