10/22/2014 “Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.” 1 Peter 5:5 While it may not be possible for shepherds to personally mentor each sheep that needs mentoring, they are to help us find godly mentors. To provide for the mentoring needs of their local community of faith, leaders must be intentional by equipping others to disciple on a continual basis. Our destinies and breakthroughs are always tied in or wrapped up into another as appointed of the Lord. The main goal of Christian discipleship is the application of biblical truth and making a life change. It means to turn in same direction of the Kingdom and laws of God. As disciples, we aren’t passive receptacles to be filled by a mentor, but active partners in the learning process. We should initiate discussions, bring our questions, contribute our knowledge, and set the direction and tone of our relationships. The disciple becomes the disciple-maker as the LORD, the God of Elijah, becomes to the next generation the LORD, the God of Elisha
