10/29/2013 todays deposit: Proverbs 17:17 (ESV) A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity. Good Morning! Before I say anything else let me say that it is good to be alive. The Lord is good to us. And if you woke up this morning - YOU ARE BLESSED. You are blessed because you are among the living and not the dead. And that my friends, is enough to be grateful for. The older I get, the more I understand value. And I have found that when you understand it, you make different choices in life. When you truly value yourself and others, you live a more conscientious life, and everything now becomes about making life better for everyone youre connected to. A moment of transparency: For many years I chased after people, not realizing my own worth nor that of those who were right there with me. It saddens me now because sometimes we overlook the greatest gems in our lives reaching for a poor replica and chasing mere mirages. So today, after much disappointment in life, loss and lessons learned, I speak this word of wisdom to you: Value YOU, and those closes to you. Because in this big ole world, you will meet some great people, people of notoriety and fame - but at the end of the day, it will be those who know you inside and out and still choose to love you - that will be there for you no matter what. AND you begin to realize that YOU are a treasure that cannot be shared with everyone. Yes, you will meet people, again great people - but never ever give up your foundation for a door.
