10:30 AM 1/7 - Here comes the Arctic air! WIND CHILL ADVISORIES are in effect for the entire region tonight as much colder than normal temperatures are getting set to plow in. Tonight will be the coldest night since March 2014, and may come close (but probably not surpass) the cold exactly one year ago today. TODAY - You asked for winter, and here it is! Fresh snow cover, bitterly cold temperatures in the low to mid 20s, strong NW winds at 15-20 mph. Some snow showers may be seen around. TONIGHT - Temperatures will plummet into the single digits, a throwback to January 2014. Winds will roar in at 15-20 mph, putting wind chills potentially below 0ºF. THURSDAY - Possibly the coldest day of the 2014-15 winter season. Highs will struggle to reach 20ºF with NW winds at 10-15 mph. Be sure you are bundled up! FRIDAY - Briefly not as awful. Highs may get back up to the freezing mark, before the next arctic front plows through. Stay warm! (Forecaster Mike)
