10/7/14 MS/HS ANNOUNCEMENTS: The school blood drive is this Thursday. There are plenty of time slots available for students. Our current schedule is only about half full. Please consider donating blood on Thursday. See Mrs. Bonnigson in room 118 if you are interested. All vehicles parked in student parking lot must back into a parking space. All girls in grades 7-12 going out for basketball should sign up today in the AD Office. Also open gym is from 6 to 7 p.m. tonight in H.S. gym. Presale tickets for this week’s football game against Huron will go on sale Wednesday. All tickets are $5.00. Do you like to be on stage or even work behind the curtain? Come on out to audition for the fall play! Auditions will be held on Wednesday, October 8th and Thursday, October 9th. You do not need to be present both days. They will be held in the high school library starting at 5 p.m. No experience needed. Hope to see you there! High School and Jr. High swimmers please get your suit orders into Coach Yantz or Coach Szymanski by today. Any swimmers not involved in a fall sport, conditioning will be Mon., Tues., Wed. each week from 2:45 to 4:00. Seneca East is hosting its third annual So You Think You Can Sing Vocal Talent Competition on November 8th in Tiger Auditoria at Seneca East High School. If you love to be on stage to share your vocal talent, this is the competition for you. There is a middle school (grades 6-8) and high school (grades 9-12) division with prize money and trophies being awarded in both divisions. This year our competition features touring a cappella groups from Tiffin university, so if you love to sing and be on stage, then come join us for a night of great music. Guidelines and entry forms are on Seneca East’s website at seneca-east.k12.oh.us under the “community” heading. Any Sophomore or Junior student that is interested in taking the PSAT (Preliminary SAT) / National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test can sign up to do so in the guidance office. The test will be given on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 starting at 8:00 a.m. in the computer lab. There is a $14 fee for student’s to take this test. The fee must be paid prior to the day of testing and is non refundable. Sept. 26 thru Nov. 1 - Everyone who comes to Lake Eerie Fear Fest at Ghostly Manor in Sandusky with a coupon, gets $5.00 OFF admission and $5 towards their school/school organization. Cleveland Cavaliers First Merit Bank The Elks Emergency Educational Grant, Elks Legacy Awards and Elks National Foundation Scholarships are available by applying at elks.org/enf/scholars. The following college representatives will be visiting here on the dates listed. Seniors can stop by the Guidance Office to sign up to attend.
