10-Day Juice Feast Sample Shopping List (for 1-2 people. Use as much from your or a friends garden when possible!) (you may need to buy a bit more after a week… see how you’re going through stuff) 4 bunches of celery 20-30 Cucumbers 2-3 Watermelons 20-30 Oranges 20-30 Lemons and/or limes 20-30 Apples 1-2 lbs Carrots 4 Beets 1-2 lbs Tomatoes 1 Bunch Dandelion Greens 3 Bunches Cilantro 2 Bunches Parsley 3 Bunches Romaine 2 Bunches Red Leaf Leaf Lettuce Assorted other greens you like Other fruit in season/available you like and can find like pears, pineapple, etc. Juice and drink 12-32 oz of juice 3-4 times a day when hungry and also drink plenty of water. If you have a serious health issue, consult your Dr. and/or your intuition before attempting this long of a fast. I recommend always mixing cucumber and/or celery and greens with sweet fruit juices for 3 of the 4 meals. I like to have one savory (cuke, celery, tomato, lemon and/or carrot/beet and pinch of good salt) in the late afternoon, then a couple hours later have one more fruit/green juice. The watermelon rind can be juiced along with the watermelon and that one is best first thing in the morning. Most people have some detox symptoms, such as headache, tummy upsets, dizzy, tired, cranky at first and maybe on and off… colonics and enemas help A LOT! And drink water and REST! Find ways to comfort yourself other than food. SEE “Fat Sick and Nearly Dead”! The weakness is NOT from lack of nutrients, if you do it right, you will be getting MORE nutrients than usual. The weakness you may feel at first (then TONS of energy will follow) is from your body clearing out toxins because you are giving it a break from digesting and giving it all the good stuff it needs to do that!
