Required skills/experience: - B.S. or B.A. in an Ecology or Wildlife related field - Experience relocating collared animals using radio telemetry - Ability to collect and record detailed data in the field - Proficient GPS skills - Experience hiking off trail in rugged terrain - Ability to hike/ski several (10+) miles on a daily basis - Winter, backcountry travel experience - On and off trail snowmobiling experience - Ability to work long hours in ALL types of weather (cold, rain, wind, snow) - Knowledge of mule deer ecology and behavior - Ability to work well independently and with others Preferred skills/experience: - Previous winter field work experience - Familiarity with Western Wyoming shrub communities - Experience in conducting ungulate behavioral observations - Mule deer classification skills - Data management skills - Previous experience in handling large mammals (primarily ungulates)
