You must be the decider, but making wise decisions is a delicate balance between discerning Gods Will (what God wants you to do), Gods Way (how God wants you to do it), Gods Window (when God wants you to do it), and Gods Work (what God is already doing in your life and in the lives of others around you). Sensitivity to all these dimensions in equal measure is possible only for those who are humble enough to recognize that they themselves only know in part and that even the little they know is often blurred and clouded by their own selfish desires, doubts, fears, delusions, lusts, prejudices, diva-ness, and hormones. If the only voice you consult before making important decisions is yours or another voice that sounds just like yours, you will inevitably create a future that looks just as broken as your past, for it will be a future made exactly in your own broken image.
