10 years ago today, I lost my phenomenal mom! There is not a day that goes by that I dont think of her. She gave so much of herself to her family and friends. She worked extremely hard to instill in us compassion, grace, the importance of family, and love for God. When my mom passed, she and my dad were a few days from celebrating their 65th anniversary. They had 14 children - 9 girls & 5 boys (Im the baby)! They didnt stop there, however. They were foster parents to eleven additional children and adopted two of them. PHENOMENAL! My dad passed in October 2011. Ironic that they both transitioned in October of their chosen year. My dad had a smile that would warm any heart and light up a room. Their legacies continue in their 61 grandchildren and over 110 great grandchildren, and who knows how many great great grands by now (I lost count - LOL). I can only imagine what itll be like when I see them again!
