It allows home owners or private tenants who receive income-related benefits to have a free replacement boiler installed, all paid for by the six largest UK energy companies. If you qualify, an approved local installer will visit your home to inspect your existing boiler. Most boilers over 10 years old will qualify and the installer will confirm that you are entitled to the grant. They will then arrange for your new A-rated boiler to be installed
