Narrate an experience you have or heard about which illustrates the saying, ‘Honestly is the best policy’. HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY Earlier this year, a simple act of honesty by a homeless man named Peter Akerele, paid back in spades not just financially, but also, emotionally because it led to him reuniting with his long-lost older brother. Now a comparable act by a man in Abuja seems to be reaping similar rewards, proving beyond doubt, that honesty is definitely the best policy! It was early evening on Saturday, September 14th. Ikechukwu Usman was passing by the Amingo Supermarket in Wuse at around 11pm, when he happened to come across a black suitcase. To see if he could identify the owner, the homeless man opened it only to find that it was filled with money - $2,400 USD in cash and almost $40,000 USD in travelers checks,as well as, a passport and other legal documents. While other people in similar situations would have been tempted, Ikechukwu who has been homeless since 2005, when Malam El-Rufai demolished his personal building at Mpape, Abuja did not even think twice. He immediately flagged down a policeman and handed him the suitcase, which was soon reunited with its original owner - A Chinese construction worker that had reported it missing. As happens in such cases, Ikechukwus good deed which was honored by the FCT police department with a special citation was reported by various newspapers, all over the country. While most people that read it marveled at the mans honesty, 27-year old Obasanjo Buhari decided that Ikechukwu deserved more and set up a fundraiser on crowd sourcing site. He set a target of N8.5 million, which he believed was reasonable given that it was slightly more than what Ikechukwu had discovered in the suitcase. The marketing manger from Abaji in the FCT, thought he would be lucky to raise a few hundred thousand naira. Instead, within just a day, the N8.5 million goal had been surpassed, encouraging Buhari to aspire for a higher N30 million so that he could help Ikechukwu purchase a house in the same Abuja and save some for essentials, so that he would not need to panhandle anymore. As of now, over N20 million has been raised and the money keeps pouring in. Buhari who has talked to Ikechukwu over the phone, plans to visit Abuja soon and also help him manage the money wisely. Needless to say, the homeless man is overwhelmed with the response he is receiving for doing the right thing, no doubt; Honesty, definitely pays off! ================================================ 5a) i)The most important African culture is hospitality ii)The growth of urbanization and development of industrialization 5b) They had virtually no African culture 5c) The restaurants and hotels claimed that they are international 5d) i)Adjectival clause ii)It qualifies the noun phrase, The Africans 5e) i.
