100 YEARS TODAY THAT THE SHOT WAS FIRED THAT TRIGGERED OFF A WORLD WAR.... 9 MILLION SOLDIERS KILLED !! let this be a lesson for the world.... an accident can trigger off world war III.... in east Ukraine for example... but so far.. everybody seems aware of this... and playing it slowly... but one never knows... had the first world war not happened.... we wouldnt have had the second world war.. and we therefore wouldnt have had gulag Russia with stalin, communist block, etc., and we might even have had enlightened monarchies TODAY... etc., etc., we shall see what happens next... but... so many thought it would be a short war... theyll be home by Christmas, they said here... well... the war started today... 28 june 1913 and ended.. 11 November 1918... and it was a catastrophe... tanks, trenches, et.c,, and one doesnt even want to contemplate what kind of global/European war we would have now... and if the nuclear bombs start flying into each others backyard.. I hope one lands on my head directly.. dont want to be in the aftermath... goodness knows... what history will bring... peace.. diplomacy... care.. I hope !
