100 years ago this Christmas, in 1914, a miracle took place on the battlefields of Europe during the first world war. On this Christmas, soldiers on both sides laid down their arms, to celebrate Christmas together. These men who had only hours before considered each other to be enemies, and who had watched one another through eyepieces of rifles, celebrated this special holiday together, and in so doing truly came to understand the phrase , Peace on Earth, and goodwill to all mankind. Here is part 1 of the French film, Joyeux Noel. It is filmed in French, English, and German. This version is with subtitles in English. The other parts you can find on youtube. This film will truly warm your heart, and show you what miraculous events occurred on those barren, frozen battlefields on that special Christmas so many years ago.
