100 years ago today, Emiliano Zapata and Pancho Villa, made this triumphant entrance into Mexico City. To take the capitol in this way was a symbolic act of victory for the Mexican Revolution (1910ish-1920s). Today, each sector of Mexican society--rural indigenous, students, teachers, workers, urban social movements remembered Villa and Zapata and took Mexico City to demand the return of the, now, #42normalistas students disappeared by the state. The video below shows the revolutionaries dining in the national palace banquet table. White table cloths, napkin-wrapped wine poured from the bottle by presidential wait staff , fine china and silverware. Anyone want to take a guess at what foods were prepared for these iconic figures? Who were the chefs, cooks and servers? Mundane questions i know. Most importantly, WHERE ARE THE #42Ayotzinapa normalistas?? #ItWasTheState! #FueElEstado #JusticeForMexico #JusticeForMikeBrown #JusticeForEricGarner
