1000 likes, so ITS Q&A TIME!!! This round, I seem to have gotten more personal questions (e.g. about Jonathan...) and less about the show. Either ways, I promised to answer so here we go with our top 10 questions! Feel free to ask more and we’ll see how it goes! 1. WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE FOOD? Singapore is a crazy food paradise, we have amazing street food here that is the stuff of international legend. But besides the occasional indulgence in unhealthy local food, I really enjoy Italian, Mexican, Japanese, Spanish and Thai food. Those would be my top choices for food! I also have some eating habits like only eating egg whites (no yolks), only drinking organic milk, and only drinking vegetable juices (no fruits). 2. WHAT DO YOU DO AS A LITIGATOR? WHAT KIND OF LAWYER IS THAT? Basically, there are generally 2 types of lawyers in practice: lawyers who go to court, and those who draft contracts and deal with corporate deals. I’m a litigator, which is the type that goes to court and argues/talks/advocates. For me, that is the “classic lawyer”, someone who goes in to court and speaks before a judge. The stuff you see on TV, but way less glamorous haha. 3. WHO WAS YOUR ROOMMATE IN THE APPRENTICE HOUSE? We drew lots, and my roommate was DIAN!!! Some people have asked why she refers to me as her “Lamb”, and I don’t know why exactly, but it’s a term of endearment from her, and she is a neat and considerate roommate to have! She hangs her clothes, packs everything properly, makes her bed, and most importantly, she doesn’t mind the fact that I don’t do any of the above! Haha. quite different habits, but we made it work. J (mainly cos Dian put up with me). LOL. 4. WHAT WAS THE SELECTION PROCESS FOR YOU TO GET ON THE SHOW? Well over 30,000 people across Asia applied—there was a long application form and you also had to make a 4-min video. From there, they called up the top 100 candidates (I KNOW! Crazy!) for phone/skype interviews. Basically, I feel at that stage that its not about how you look but how you present yourself. Expression and articulation are quite important for a business reality show like the Apprentice. Next, out of the 100, the top 30 were flown to KL for live interviews and more rigorous selection tests. I’m not allowed to discuss what happened at the top 30 stage, but all I can say is that from there, 12 were chosen. YAY!!!! The waiting part was horrible. They took a few weeks to let me know and I was like telling myself omg I have got all the way to top 30 and failed. So you can imagine, when I got the call to be in the show I just jumped around like mad and couldn’t stop going crazy. Shoutout to my office roomie Kirsten who at the time was patient enough to put up with my crazy moods. I hope she’s reading this! Hah! 5. IS THE OTHER FINALIST, JONATHAN, YOUR BIGGEST COMPETITION? Tough question. I gotta say, Jonathan was always one of the top 4 for me (including myself). So it was no surprise to see him at the end. It was interesting because since task 3, we had been on the same team and worked together, and arguably been allies. Even Tony commented that, as a creative team, Jonathan and I work extremely well together. SO… its hard to think of him as “competition” cos he’s always been on my side rather than on the opposing side. As for his capability to be in the top 2, I don’t doubt that at all. I think we both deserve to be there. J 6. WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU WERE NOT A LAWYER? AHHH another tough question! I’m really not sure… growing up, I was always sure since 8 that I wanted to be a lawyer. I had considered being a newscaster, radio DJ, and actor. Essentially you’ll see the common thread in all of this is speaking and talking for a living HAHA! 7. DO YOU LIKE BACI? LOL. My favourite store-bought chocolate is actually kit-kat. MASSIVE weakness for chocolates, not so much sweets. 8. WHICH COUNTRIES IN SOUTH EAST ASIA HAVE YOU VISITED? I’ve visited Malaysia loads of times (obviously), Indonesia, Laos, Thailand of course (love the Kohs, the islands), and Vietnam (although only Saigon. I need to see the north!). I’ll be making a trip to Manila soon, KL again, and fingers crossed, Cambodia! Probably going to see Vietnam as well, all in 2013. Travel is my greatest passion and I’ve been lucky to travel to many parts of the world and live away for small periods of time too J For our India viewers, I’ve had the privilege of visiting the South—kerela, allepey, Pondicherry, to name a few! Asia is beautiful and I am so excited to see more of it. 9. HOW CAN I GET A BOTTLE OF YOUR 24K GOLD CHAMPAGNE? GREAT question! For now, it’s available in Singapore but not in the rest of South East Asia. I am working on that… so hopefully one day you can go into a shop and buy a bottle of it!!! But I will definitely be holding some sort of contest for someone to win a bottle! I just can’t think of any thing that would be a worthwhile contest for such a nice prize. If anyone has ideas, I’d be very happy to hear!!! And I’ll DHL the bottle right to your doorstep! 10. AND FINALLY—THE BIG QUESTION EVERYONE’S BEEN ASKING: ARE YOU SINGLE? ARE YOU AND JONATHAN DATING? HAHA. I’m not sure what exactly to say to this question, cos many people have been talking about us. It’s awesome to make it to the end with Jonathan. I care about him a lot, and he is definitely a special person to me. I will say that I am currently not in a relationship with anyone. Except my job… yea lousy answer I know. I would be happy to hear from you guys if you think we should date or not! Haha. HAPPY MONDAY AND HAVE A GOOD WEEK AHEAD EVERYONE!!! Peace cxxx
