100s of 1,000s of people are being kicked off of their health insurance plans, or seeing their premiums double and triple if they want to keep them. Insurance company notices are beginning to arrive at homes in droves. Of course, the ACA websites are still completely dysfunctional too, so no relief there. Even so, the ACA premiums are double/tripling what people are paying now as well, not to mention that the plans come with deductibles of $5k-$12k. My bet: Soon, very soon, like within one year, more people in this country will be without health insurance than with it. With deductibles being what they are, every one will elect to go without insurance and pay the stoopid fine, which is SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper. I mean, hey, if your deductible is *that* high into the $1,000s anyway, whats the point? Along with that is poorer health as even regular check-ups with be avoided due to cost. ...Even worse, Ill further bet that the majority of those with health insurance will be the ones with long-term and/or terminal illnesses. That doesnt sound very sensible or sustainable to me. *sigh* Lord willing, a major citizen-revolt will happen and force the clowns in Washington to reverse this idiotic catastrophe before it does too much damage. (and by revolt, I dont mean violent. I mean verbal and very very LOUD.)
