#1057 As a college PM myself, i personally felt an opinion by the people directly involved in MHS about the video that was posted by a certain organisation about us, the Pemudahcara Mahasiswa, and the conspiracy about MHS being a certain campus political party propaganda machine is due. First of all, i would like to clarify that i have to resort to use these anonymous methods to comment about these “issues” to protect my privacy and at least let my 2 cents to be heard. I would also like clarify NOT all of the PMs are in it for the glory and power and a lot of us follow orders because we genuinely want to help the first years. It is with regret that i have to say that the contents about the conspiracy is MOSTLY true. As i see it, it blatantly obvious on our side that MHS is extremely biased towards that certain campus political party as during this year’s MHS we, the PMs, was instructed to wear a shirt during 1st day of MHS that was in the colour that is typically associated of the that party and badges of said party were provided to us to wear during MHS. Not to mention that the head bands given to the first years was also surprisingly in the same colour. Even before being elected as PM, the various workshops that we were subjected to were extremely Pro government, especially Bina Negara camp that was a requirement this year to qualify as PM. Though it does hurt the feelings of some of the PMs, me included, by saying the PMs were “puppets”, i think the video was a necessary evil for the first years and even the seniors to see through the propaganda and let them decide properly what candidate to choose this coming campus election not just because they recognise that person in MHS. It saddens me that these “HEP Yes Men” can go to such great length to manipulate the campus elections to their favour and that in my opinion defeats the point of democracy. All in all, I think its fair for students to know the truth. Thank you Sincerely, A PM yearning for change.
