105kg Ivory Seized, THAILAND - A Vietnamese couple are being held over attempted smuggling of 4 suitcases of elephant tusk ivory in Thailand. The ivory was checked in at Angola, then went through Ethiopia and then to Bangkok where customers officers grabbed it and took the Vietnamese couple into custody. Thailand was identified at CITES as the largest unregulated country with illegal ivory as well as being a transit hub for illegal wildlife trade in general. They promised to end it all, this is a great start. Excellent work THAILAND!!
