(106) Campaign Reporting Backfires (106) I was notified a few days ago about a dozen issues with my September campaign finance report. These housekeeping issues were promptly corrected and the integrity of the report is the same. My opponents camp used quite unfriendly expressions about me and said big words such as numerous critical omissions and the best one serious violations. A gracious attempt at word smithing for maximum impact yet un-becoming of a mayoral candidate in our great respectful city. (106) I have become more keenly aware of the reporting requirements and would be remiss by not passing along the information we immediately detected. I am certain every candidate intends to do the right thing with their campaign reporting, which is why I am submitting this for reference only and not as a malicious attack or formal complaint against Mrs. Bengel. (106) Upon inspection of my opponents report, there were (#106) omissions on her same report! Of course in the course of protecting the public from campaigns, we have detailed each issue with the proper authorities.
